One of the most pleasant experiences I've had was the one week we've spent at the Margitsziget, Thermal Hotel on Margaret Island. With a luxurious and well equipped gym and world class spa.(wich my Wife loved it). We will returning next year again.

One of the most pleasant experiences I've had was the two weeks we've spent at the Margitsziget Thermal Hotel on Margaret Island. The hotel is a remodeled old timer, with a luxurious and well equipped gym and world class spa.
Other than the lovely facilities, rooms are tasteful and comfortable - but the true value of this hotel is its location. The island is the green spot in the middle of the Danube and only limited vehicle traffic is permitted - making is less noisy and much cleaner than the rest of the city.
Yet, it is made convenient by the public transportation that is available from the main road just steps away from the entrance. The bus will take you to the Nyugati train station (via a turn around in Buda).
This hotel offers you the best of both worlds - a real resort vacation and the convenience of being in the city, near all the sites and businesses. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.
