The hotel is great. The location is excellent, with two trams passing within 50 yards of the hotel, two metro stops at the end of the tram line (buy a pass), and the Chain Bridge and Elisabeth Bridge within walking distance. Free breakfast is excellent with plenty of food -- eggs to order, fresh fruit, fresh bread, yogurt, cereal, juices, sliced cheeses and ham, etc -- it's fantastic, and they're cool about eating it as a big meal to start the day. The hotel staff is professional, very helpful, very generous and patient. Free wireless internet, also. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the hotel is in a good quiet location near the river. Excellent, excellent, excellent hotel !!

Hotel Orion is in a great location just off the River Danube on the Buda side. Room was large, clean and comfortable as well as quiet. Breakfasts were lovely with a choice of eggs, meats, cheeses, rolls, etc. You could order free tea or coffee to have in your rooms and the receptionist organised our transport back to the airport. Reasonable rates by booking on line as well. Budapest is a fantastic city with loads to see: recommend the opera, the market, the Gellert baths and the castle!

We stayed in Budapest for 4 days and found this hotel a real gem. It is scrupulously clean, very nice sized bedroom with good en suite bathroom, which met our every need. Small fridge and TV included in the room.Very well located on the Buda side and very close to the trams. Staff on reception always very polite and keen to help make our stay comfortable and advised on where to go and how to save money. Breakfast excellent as far as hotels go and food always fresh.
