Very nice garden setting. Room basic but clean. Have to pay for use of fridge (although ours wasn't locked so got to use for free.Pay for air con which is 40 euros a week! Snack bar staff very pleasant. British reception staff a real let down, rude and unfriendly. We had to be out our room at 10am and were not being picked up till 3am the next day. We had asked reception 5 days prior if we could keep the room and we were told to come back the next day and it would cost us 40 euros to keep the room. We went back the day after and the day after, this went on till the day before we were due to leave.Then we were told there were no rooms left but we could use the pool showers and toilets to get changed or see if the hotel across the road had rooms. In all the years i have gone on holiday i have never stayed somewhere that doesn't provide a courtesy room at least to shower in the evening. We booked at the Louros Beach hotel across the road which is ten times nicer and the staff were very helpful and said they always have to try and acconmodate guests from Hotel Marelen as they always double book guests.Would definetly recommend hotel Louros Beach.

As a family man wanting the best on his holiday for his family, I was not disappointed at all, in fact I have just booked again for the Marelen next year and there will be 10 of us! Clean, friendly, do anything for us, great entertainment Well Done Michala!! Nick!! Great food and great position. We have 2 children aged 6 n 9 and they had a ball! Plenty of things for them to do and the turtles are wonderful to see. You should definitely try the BBQ, Greek night and the free pizza night... yes they actually give you free food with No Con!!

We have just had a fab holiday yet again and the service and cleanliness is still the highest standard ive seen in greece. Fab food, fab entertainment, curtious staff and always helpful, accommodation a bit small but hey your only in your room at night..great for kids as they have a kids club for an hour daily. The only downfall we had was coming home to the rain...

Just returned from a fabulous holiday. The hotel and facilities were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In fact we arrived on the sunday and by monday we had decided that we would return next year (already Booked)

We have just returned from a fab holiday at the Hotel Marelen. A wonderful Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The self-catering apartments were clean and well equipped, the pool was fantastic, plenty of sunbeds to go around. Food the poolside bar was very good and the evening entertainment was excellent. I would definitely recommend a visit and would definitely return

My son and I enjoyed our week (self catering) here. The staff are courteous and helpful, entertainment on an evening, friendly bar. The location is close to the super beach and a short walk from the main road. Paolo's has childrens area and excellent food. We would stay here again if we were to visit Zakynthos.

We stayed at Marelen with our family last year and are coming back in September ...we had a great time the hotel was lovely and everyone was friendly our kids loved the pool ,,we never saw them ...looking forward to coming back
