Stayed at the Katerina Palace third week in July hotel and staff were brilliant. Rooms very clean food even though it was continental there were plenty of choices. Pools fab - would not hesitate to go again. Best place for food. You have got to go to the Zorbas Greek Restaurant.

Have now been for a second time and plan to go again this year. Service and Hotel is still first class. Very friendly and helpful. We went as a family age ranging from 18 - 50. My two sons spent most of their time at Molly Malones (an irish bar just after the Red Lion near the Green Frog, has a mini golf area). Went in July but it was well in the 40C and very very hot. Would not hesitate in recommending this Hotel and the town of Argassi to anyone just wish it wasn't so popular!

We went for one week. There were five of us in the party ranging from 15 - 55. Absolutely fantastic holiday so relaxing. Staff very friendly. Impeccably clean and service excellent. Breakfast is continental but quite a variety of food. Can't wait to go again this year, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone and all ages.

Top Local Tips for Zakynthos

Trips Shop around before you book any trips. The travel companies are very expensive and will advise you only book with them, however, we have always used reptuable holiday companies and have been perfectly fine on all our trips. Possibly getting advice from people who work on the island, such as british bar staff etc will put you in the right direction and will kepp your wallet fuller!

One good thing about Argassi is the restaurants Papillon Restaurant was the best of the ones we tried, but none of the restaurants were a disappointment, very very nice food.

sunbeds if at the katerina palace you find it a bit to cramped you can always go to a place on the seafront called demetrios which has an abundance of free sunbeds with a pool right on the seafront you need only buy a drink for the use of these beds and pool
