Rooms very loud, no privacy, balcony door on ground floor not lockable, could hear every word from the neighbors. Rooms old, dirty, with fungus, staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Asked for another room, because I was pregnant and needed some calmness. Our room was close to the breakfast room which was very noisy from 7 am. The staff did not offer us another room, but recommended to get up at 7 and just go eat breakfast if we can not sleep anymore.... Tried to bill us more than the listed price for drinks every night. Food poor, served several times the same plates, hair and flys in it after some days... Had a studio with possibility to cook... bring your own plates, pots and glasses, there was just nothing... Don't go there if you want to have a good time!

Commodore hotel, some rooms below ground level, no view at all of anything. Very dark and damp, furniture old and rotting. Mosquito heaven, poor facilities for s/c, manager very unhelpful. Hotel on a very steep hill, lots of steps to negotiate.

Must do the obe day boat trip! The one-day boat tripo around the island is a MUST! Zakynthos has a lot to offer if you serach out things to do!

A VIEW WITH A DRINK arrived in zante town via the 7 o clock tourist train from argassi,great value at 5 euros return.departure time 10 30.train driver good source of information.after directions to the castle above the town,we decided to walk insteadof a taxi. bad decision,extremely steep climb and not for most medical conditions.also as this took best part of half an hour ,castle had just closed at 7 30pm.however the view was to die for. while wending our way down what seemed to be the main road and much easier route than we had taken on our ascent we came upon a delightful taverna,IOAENAEZ.we descended to the lowest terrace and with a glass of wine drank in an amazing view.!!shortly darkness fell and it was beautiful taking in the city lights and harbour across to argassi .the music ,service and ambience was highlight of our holiday

PETER'S TAVERNA NEXT TO FACTORY IGNORE HIM .HE IS A PAIN .AND HE WILL BECOME RUDE WHEN YOU DON'T EAT AT HIS RESTAURANT, WHICH IS NOT ALL HE MAKES IT OUT TO BE. YOUR NOT MISSING OUT ON ANYTHING.
