we have stayed at the irini hotel many times & love it. it is idealy situated near the beach, shops & tavernas, has a lovely pool & all the rooms have nice balconies. family owners are frendly & make you welcome.
getting there is easy from rhodes by the island's own sea star ferry
Very Greek

Been here many times as independent travellers. First time in 1985.We used to go for the full month of June in the days of the Drachma.Tilos is a lovely place to relax and do nothing. When we found out 8 years ago that we were "with child", we decided than that she would be called Sophia (after Auntie Sophia at her taverna in Livadia) The Irini is like a home from home.Quiet and clean.
Yasoo Ilias, Sophia and Vasillis. From Pete, Elaine & Sophia.Hope to see you again soon

This was our 3rd visit to Tilos and the Irini Hotel. As usual Ilias and his family made us very welcome and others in the village greeted us as if they remembered us!
A;though the rooms are small at the Irini, the pleasant atmosphere and the lovely pool area means we have always enjoyed our stays there.

The rooms are simply furnished and a little light on the storage side, but thefridge and kettle means G & Ts and cuppas are always available. They are clean and well supplied with linen etc. We always have A/C but there are fans as well.

There are always many guests who are returning for the umpteenth time and some make dates to see each other again same time next year. Most are mature but that shouldn't put off younger couples as long as they are the sort wholike walking to another beautiful bay or visiting a ruined castle as they excursions.

There is often a boat trip around the island with a fantastic beach BBQ for lunch. Elephant pork chops with onions in wine and braised potatoes, I can taste them nowm 18 months on!!!

We hope to return this coming September but have also visited in July and August when there are lots of Greeks especially round Eristos. In September the beach there will be much quieter and we hope the beach-side caravan serving Meze at lunch-time is still going. It was delicious.

All the tavernas are good and everyone seems to have there own favourite. Ours sometimes change from visit to visit, but would probab;y opt for Nico's for lunch and Sophia's for dinner.
All the super markets will deliver to your room, and have even been kind enough to provide things "on tick" as we realise we need more gin on the way home from the beach when penny-less.

Just the thought will keep me going for the next few months.
