I have stayed in this hotel every time I have travelled to Thessaloniki. This year the windows and doors to the balconies (at least on the sixth floor) have been replaced with double glazing, this blocks out the street noise that made street side rooms less than desirable. The hotel staff continues to be very friendly. The breakfast is not as good as in past years, but it is free and still good. This year we occupied rooms 601 and 602, but in past years we have stayed in other rooms on other floors. Our bathrooms had been recently re-tiled making the bathrooms much cleaner than in the past. The ceilings are stained, the hotel is old, but it is still a very good deal (even though the price is now 50 Euros a night). Next time we are in Thessaloniki we will use this hotel again.

This was the fourth time my wife has used this hotel (though my first time with her). The owner speaks English very well and is a really nice guy. The rooms are clean, though a little worn out. The bathrooms are clean, though not spotless. The breakfast (included in the price) is buffet style and quite good. This is not a 5 star hotel, but a really good budget hotel. I think we paid 40 Euro, which is cheap in THessaloniki.
