When eating out In the majority of tavernas they tend to serve the main course before you have finished the first course, we found this a bit offputting as we felt rushed and could not appreciate the meal properly. We got over this by only ordering the first course and ordering the main course after finishing the first course, this way we were able to take our time and did not feel bloated by eating everything quickly. The waiters were very obliging in this and did not mind at all, particularly in the Nest and Zorbas.

Thassos Town The main town is super and well worth a trip at the end of the day for shopping and dinner. Try Symi which is on the waterfront at the old port. The staff are fun and and the food is excellent. I can reccomend the red house wine , the best we have had so far in Greece.
