Just arrived home
Just arrived home after spending 2 weeks at Makryammos Bungalows. Scenery excellent, weather brilliant, staff very nice and helpful. Food was great with a wide varity to suit everyone. Thassos Town is lovely, with lots of shops and bars, great bustling atmosphere in the evenings, again everyone friendly. Entertainment at Makryammos very limited to a live band a couple of evenings a week, and a clown for the kids once a week. The sea is lovely and very shallow which is safe for the kids to go into. You can walk quite far out into the sea until it reaches waist level. Lovely clear water, you can see the the sea bed. The only thing that spolit my holiday was the lack of information regarding wasps, large moths and hornets. I have a phobia regarding wasps and insects, and trying to sunbathe with wasps flying around from as early as 7am until early evening was an absolute nightmare. Apparently the resort gets a plague of wasps every 4 years, so it should be safe to go to next year...Read more

Excellent holiday at this resort, staff
friendly and very helpful. Bar a little on the expensive side though. Food great, Beach and water, very clean.
Rooms: clean and spacious, air-conditioned (a must in August). Peacock roam the very well kept grounds, there are deer in compound next to resort and can be hand fed thru the fence (our kids loved this). Overall, we loved the place and will go back next year.
