We had a great holiday at the Laios Angelas a great girl love to go back when we can find it in a brochure close to all amenaties great pool and very clean.

Excellant location, tavernas within easy reach, from all direcions from the Laios. Shame the the pool bar isn't utilised, the pool area is condusive to relaxing in a pretty area. No safety measures around the pool ie; lifebelts. The room was clean and quiet. Local charges were made for a fan and use of the fridge. We would definately go back.

We returned to the Laios for a second year, it is a good low budget option with excellent pool facilities. The family who run it are a little quiet but very helpful. It is just the right distance from the main town of Thassos - quiet but within walking distance of bars, clubs and nightlife in genereal - ideal for young and old alike. When we were there they were just starting to use the new port facilities which have been built to the left of the hotel. We would go back there but don't expect anything other than a quiet and clean hotel with a great swimming pool.

My wife and I first discovered the Laios 10 years ago and have visited every year since, sometimes twice a year. Our first encounter was with Thomson Holidays, who dropped it from their brochure as they tried to squeeze the owners for ever-more competitive rates. This is the case with many hotels in Thassos Town as tour operators spread their wings further afield across the isaland in search of people who are prepared to cut rates for block bookings. The Laios is family owned and has about 33 rooms. The hotel is scrupulously clean. In all our visits there we have never seen even one solitary cockroach, which must be an achievement in itself for Greece. The hotel is situated opposite the new ferry terminal on the edge of Thassos Town but is not in a noisy location and it's just a few minutes walk (300 yards) into the town centre. The hotel has a marvellous swimming pool which is well maintained. Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis. Breakfasts generally consist of eggs from the hotel's smallholding, honey, orange juice and coffee although cooked breakfasts are possible with advance notice.
