Excellent hotel and value!
Me and my boyfriend got this hotel on allocation on arrival so we were hoping not to have a shabby hotel and I must say I was very surprised when we arrived. Really liked the apartment. It was a good enough size, basic but very very clean which is what mattered to us. The pool was nice, the hosts Sofia and Demitris were nice (we managed to persuade Demitris to play table tennis with us). We never sampled the food in the restaurant as we wanted to sample food at different restaurants around the area. The cleaning was good, maids regularly came round to clean and tidy up the place. If you are a young couple I would highly recommend hiring out a moped or car (its quite cheap) otherwise there isn't very much to do. with transport you can go exploring the whole island where you'll find archaeological sites and ruins etc. took us five hours to get round the whole island including stops at various towns and beaches. nice peaceful quiet island for couples, no loud lager lads or anything like t...Read more

Best on Thassos
First time we've been on the island but certainly not the last.
Sofia and Dimitris were the best hosts we could ever wish for. Very friendly atmosphere around the bar and pool area any time of the day (or night). Rooms tastefully decorated with all facilities needed and cleaned every day.
Hotel location close but yet far enough fot the noise of the resort.
We are booking for next year. Simply the best hotel on Thassos

Just had another fantastic holiday with Sophia and Dimitri at the Korina, but the new pool surround, brollies and pool bar, simply lift this hotel into another dimension, it has to be the best holiday on the island.

After reading glowing reviews I must say we were rather disappointed, the room was below average, small and poorly furnished, wiring socket hanging loose and broken drawers very small shower room, (this view taken from comparison with other two star properties in the locality)
As seasoned travellers and having visited the island of Thassos on more than one occasion we are realists and tend to make observations based upon overall experience. Quiet location but hotel is like a cave hence doors slamming and echoing through the building at night tend to spoil and disturb otherwise peaceful atmosphere.
Pool nice, but garden generally untidy and sun beds basic, plastic and uncomfortable. Best suited to younger people, as more back pack hostel type accommodation. Owners are young and laid back; tend to spend more time around pool bar than running hotel to maximum efficiency and benefit of clients.

We love the place, been back 7 times in the last 3 years.Sofia & Dimitris are the warmest hosts you could wish for in this well run hotel. The best pool on the Island.
