I have stayed at the Athens Sofitel on several occasions, for different reasons. (I once flew in from Brussels for one day to attend urgent business in Athens, and stayed at the hotel). I have never been disappointed. Quite the contrary. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff professional and courteous. One big plus is the quality of the food served in the restaurants -- a nice, welcome change after the same fare served in most Greek restaurants. The convenience of being located at the airport cannot be overlooked either. The one "negative" point is that breakfast is not included in the price. As the hotel is not exactly a budget establishment, this may come across as being mean.
