we found the hotel in the best location we have stayed in skiathos.this woz our 3rd time on the island and as usual had a great time. the hotel staff were very helpful and polite the room we had was nice and bright and clean.we will definienly stay at the hotel again.

Second class citizens

Very disappointed with our hotel in Skiathos. We felt we were treated like second-class citizens once a bus load of Greeks arrived at the hotel. A better breakfast was laid on during their stay plus they got better rooms than us. Our room was right above reception and it was cold and dark, plus there was only one working plug socket in the whole room. Also there was no shower curtain and nothing to hold on to when stepping out of the shower, someone could seriously injure themselves if they slipped on the wet tiled floor. The reception area was Ok but it wasn't inviting at all and most nights there was only us in the bar, served by the barman who wore the same creased-up clothes for the entire week and somehow managed to charge us upwards of €25 for 6 drinks. They could do with a big screen TV and some music in the bar to give it a bit more atmosphere. Extremely poor service from owner and reception staff

The hotel location near to airport was not a problem, but the traffic noise from the road outside the hotel was extremely loud if you are unfortunate to have a front location room as my wife and I had. I was even threatened with the police and eviction when I tried to obtain a room change to a rear facing one, and a plug for the basin. This never happened and we had two weeks of sleep interrupted nights. The pool and the breakfast facilities were fine but I have never come across such a rude and unhelpful hotel owner before. We were both extremely tired, but did enjoy the Sporades islands tremendously.

Great hotel

We have been to Skiathos 7 times and last year we stayed at the Stellina because we got a great deal from Thomas Cook. We have rebooked for June08 as we were so impressed. The hotel is clean spacious and the pool area is fantastic. The only reservation was the owner who would not help with the bags up 3 flights of stairs The bar also lacks atmosphere so we never used it and went next door to the Oasis and spent our evenings there,great! The location & everything else cannot be faulted. Give it a go!

Our first ever holiday in Greece always going to the likes of spain and that!! The island is fabulous and the Stellina Hotel is in a great location from town and more importantly club strip!! The drinks down there can be quite dear. Not as lively as the likes of Spain, with many different cultures!! The island's bar and night club has the potential to develop into a lively place all year round! Beaches beautiful, check outlast each bus stop 24, easy accesss to buses that cost barely nothing!!! Aug temp was very hot, so lying by the pool at the hotel was great drinking cocktils in the sun!! I will def return to this island in the future and really enjoyed my stay in Stellina Hotel!!
