We have just spent two very happy weeks at the Hotel Paradise on the lovely island of Skiathos, in greece. The holiday started with a warm weclome at the airport by Dimitri with a smile, hand shake and a correct pronocement of my surname. We were then taken to the family run hotel on top of a hill with its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding country side. The hotel provided a large patio with very pleasent gardens,dining area,bar. The pool was situated below the patio and also had a bar and seating area that you could eat at. The rooms were well equipt and the maid service was excellant they also had outstanding views across the sea and surrounding islands.Allthough on a hill it was not a problem to go anywhere on the island as courtsey bus run to and from Skiathos Town six times a day or as in our case to take us back up the hill after a day on the local beach. The Food and service at the hotel was of a very high standard supplied by a very warm & friendly family. It was a real eyeopener on the first day to meet people that have been back here to the hotel for two weeks for several years and sometimes twice a year. But after 2weeks of this kind of treatment it is not surprising. Its THREE star rating simply does not do it justice. We will be back.

I stayed at the Paradise Hotel with my wife, brother and sister-in-law and we were treated with the utmost respect and friendliness throughout our stay. The views from the hotel gardens are quite spectacular and inside the hotel, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. All the superb food is home cooked by "Mamma" and is served with a smile by the two sons, Kostas and Dimitrios who couldn't do enough for us to make us feel at home.
Although a little way from Skiathos Town, the hotel has its own mini-bus that will take you into town and pick you up at various times during the day and evening. The same bus will also pick you up from the Airport if you book directly with the Hotel which is what we did.
If you are looking for a peaceful retreat for that "get away from it all" break then I can certainly recommend the Paradise Hotel.

This is one of the best hotels that both my partner and I have ever had the pleasure of staying in! It is a romantic, friendly, family run hotel with excellent views, accomodation and service.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The standard of food is unbelievable in that it is all home cooked and the co-owner Dimitrios, could not do enough for us to make us feel at home.
It is the second time that we have visited the hotel and we have plans to go back there in September.
If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly and memorable holiday then this will be the place for you.
There is a shuttle bus that takes you into the town during the day and evening and all of the staff at the hotel are first class.
The Paradise Hotel certainly lives up to its name! It truly is paradise and well worth a visit.

We stayed at the Paradise for a week from the 12th May 2006. We booked the hotel online directly with the hotel.
We booked predominantly after reading reviews on Tripadvisor as the quality of hotels we have previously visited on the island have left a lot to be desired.
We were not at all dissapointed and had an excellent stay. The previous complimentary reviews were all accurate and the friendly family atmosphere from our hosts made us feel at home from the first time we were picked up at the airport to our almost tearfull return visit to the airport at the end of the week.
The rooms were cleaned to impressive standard every day. Although we did not intend to eat at the hotel other than the inclusive breakfast we found ourselves at the dining table on a couple of occasions to be met with an authentic greek menu at reasonable prices that was very well cooked and professionaly served.
All in all we were very impressed and will definately return.

It was last year that we discovered this excellent family run hotel, on the lovely emarald island, Skiathos.We enjoyed our stay so much that it has prompted our first ever Tripadvisor review.

It was easy to book the accomodation directly via the hotel's website where you will find a very reasonable tariff, info and some great pics. Also included free of charge was a courtesy bus that picked us up on arrival and returned us to the airport at the end of our stay. Dimitri, one of the two sons, also gave advice on flights.

Although the Paradise Hotel was set up on a hill in a peaceful location, the anticipated need for car hire did not materialize, as we used the various modes of transport avaliable. Taxi's will even stop if you look like you are waiting around and offer to whisk you off to a wonderful beach for only a few euro's and there is beautiful scenary if you enjoy walking.

It is difficult to add to the previous positive reviews, but we can easily relate to all of the fine compliments, describing the relaxed friendly atmosphere, the stunning view from the terrace, looking out over the sea to Skopelos and beyond, the warmth of the Economou family and all the good things that encouraged many people to return.

That's why we are returning in June 2006!!!

We discovered Paradise five years ago, and like many others we now make it an annual trip. The family Economou are the proud owners and maintain a high standard of service and accommodation. We particularly enjoy the hotel's location set half a mile inland and high above the coastal road, as this provides a peaceful atmosphere and superb views out to sea and across the entrance to Skiathos harbour. The island is approximately 8 miles long by 3 wide, with one arterial road running it's length along the southern coast from Skiathos town to the magnificient beach at Koukanaries.A regular bus service runs between the two terminals with stops imaginatively named 1 to 26, these give access to all the beaches on this side of the island. Bus stop No. 9 sits at the bottom of the steep hill which takes you up to Paradise, the walk up the hill is a real cardiovascular exercise which everyone should try......once.
We usually organise our return via Skiathos town's No. 4 stop, then take the Paradise Hotel's own bus service back up the hill.
Many guests hire their own transport for part of their stay, which enables them to adventure across the island to the less accessible northern coast and its beaches, although some of the tracks are more suited to rallying and a 4x4 is the preferred model.
For the more serious walker the hotel's position approximately halfway down the island puts all parts within 3-4 miles range, albeit on some very hilly and meandering tracks.
This year we paid a second visit to the Paradise when we returned in September with some of our friends whom we introduced to our annual retreat, we like it that much.
It's Greek, it's friendly, and we think it's aptly named

I don't see what I can add to the other excellent reviews, but I felt I must say something. I went on my own for two weeks with my 13yr old! We both survived! We settled in from day one, thanks to the warm welcome we got from Billy at the airport, and the friendly staff in the hotel. We had a drink on the veranda whilst waiting for our room, but it was ready within 30mins of us arriving. Talking of the room, you couldn't have asked for a better cleaning service and the view from the balcony was beautiful, as it was overlooking the sea, along with a few other small islands. The pool was well managed, and it was never alive with screaming children or anything of that such.
To be honest, I don't know what else I can say about it...oh, apart from the food in the hotel...it was lovely! We saw no need to go into the town for our evening meals, which helped on the mosquito front.
We can't wait to get back...

The Paradise hotel is Paradise.
The greek family hotel oozes charm and traditionalism surrounded by olive trees and the sound of crickets.
You will always receive a warm welcome from the Economou family when you arrive and will leave you wanting more when its time to leave.
It's their hard work and their wanting to please people make the hotel the place where people, like myself, return to this "little piece of heaven" time and time again. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with outstanding views of the Agean sea and surrounding islands and the food is plentiful and traditional.
The hotel also boasts a good size swimming pool (recently retiled) and is complimented by a pool bar providing a variety of food and drink .

Skiathos town is a 10minute bus ride which is provided free of charge by the hotel and driven by Vassillias (Billy) 6 times a day.
The hotel is small and friendly and is suitable for families and couples alike.
They must be doing something right .....its my 8th visit and certainly not my last!

Have just spent 14 days at the Paradise just outside Skiathos. It was just what we wanted. High standards all round but not too big that it was impersonal. What was good about the Paradise? Family run so therefore the Economiou family had a vested interested in ensuring everything was what we wanted. Food was excellent and although we were only B&B we dined at the hotel in the evening on at least 8 occasions. The set menu of 4 courses at only 13 euros each was very good value. The rooms were cleaned daily and well maintained overall. The air-con was necessary as the weather was generally very hot throughout the 2 weeks. The view from the hotel was amazing. The friendliness of Dimitrios and Costas in particular, meant that our every need was catered for. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The fact that so many guests were returning for the 6th/7th/8th year in succession is testimony to the way guests are looked after. Thoroughly recomended and we will also return.

About 3 weeks ago my wife and I were looking at a quick escape to the sun. I looked at all sorts of web sites and finally my wife said ‘I’d go to the Paradise’ – we had been to the Paradise Hotel in 1998. A few web sites and e-mails later and we managed to get a flight and room, 490 Euros for 7 nights B&B and added half board on arrival at 11 Euros per day each. After 7 years it had not changed a lot, same friendly family run hotel, same father, mother who does the cooking – Greek and very good, two brothers, Dimitrios and Costas, and Vasillias (Billy) the minibus driver. The need for the reliable minibus service to Skiathos town (six times per day each way) is apparent on the first trip from the airport (1 in 3 at 80/90 degrees is not recommended) Demitrios is married to Maria now with a star little boy called Vaios. The furniture in the rooms has been modernised, there's a decent hairdryer and a fridge/minibar (additional charge). Charging drinks, snacks etc. to your room does not cost any extra and you get a daily breakdown of your spend/reminder of how many Ouzos you had the night before!, there is a 3% charge for payment by credit card, but Euro travellers cheques are taken at face value. The location is in the hills about 3.5Kms from Skiathos town and there are spectacular views from the hotel and nearby. The plumbing is still Greek and the air con is on during ‘hot hours’. It’s not 5 star luxury, but it is perfectly Greek. If you leave this place without feeling it’s a bit special then just may be you’ve lost the plot.
