Stayed at Myrtia from July 15,2005 for 2weeks. From the moment I walked up the path to reception upon my arrival I knew that this would be place where I would come back to. The grounds are nicely planted and well tended ,very clean. The name Hotel Myrtia is a missasumption, the accomocation being comprised of appartments only 2 floors high situated well away from the road , which makes for a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff from workers to management are all hardworking, yet go about their bussiness in a relaxed but professional manner and go out of their way to achieve customer satisfaction without being overbearing. The complex is family run and they are very accomodating/friendly.The rooms are nicely decorated and comfy,aircoditioned and cleaned every day and fresh linen and bedding provided every 3 days. Basic cooker,kettle, toaster and cups cutlery are provided , no T.V,but their is one in the T.V room and poolside bar if needed.Nice swimming pool with an array of sun-beds all in good repair. Should you wish you could stay at the complex for your whole stay, it really is that nice and comfy. The resturant food is excellent serving breakfast and evening meals, people come from other places to eat, the chef really is very good. Nice beaches within walking distance, even more should you hire a car, driving is o.k, just be careful on the mountain roads and where you park in town.
We booked on the web through ThomasCook, I can recommend them, their people do a good job. I can more than reccomend the Hotel Myrtia to anyone , couples , honeymooners families, although I really don't think it would be at all suitable for the single-sex 18-30years crowd as it is to quiet, although their are plenty of other places on the island that would suit. Once again I can not praise the Hotel Mytia enough,the place and staff really are that good, they derserve every success for now and in the future. THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THE HOLIDAY IS COMING BACK HOME, I will return at my earliest oppurtunity. About 85-95 of the people we spoke to had booked this accomodation previously, some many times!. Excellent ,go see for yourselves you will not be dissapointed. I have travelled/holidayed many times before and this is the first time I have felt whole-heartedly touched/moved in order to write a review.!!!
