The staff is excellent, and does their best to complete any wishes and answer absolutely any question one may have about the town and the island. The lady who cleans the rooms does a marvellous job, and you have to almost force her to accept tips. The pool is not that big, and not that clean either. Take a swim at one of the beautiful beaches instead.

Breakfast is the continental one; bread, jam, juice and coffee. If you want other alternatives we absolutely recommend the little diner just down the street, on the left hand – vis-à-vis the bus stop to Fira. The food and service there is really one of a kind!

Kamari is an expensive town to stay in. "Rent a moto" (or other) and travel around the island instead. The food is much better, and cheaper, at the small local taverns outside the cities. Don't shop for groceries at the stores near the beach. If you manage to walk just a few hundred meters up in the city, you'll find the same groceries at 50% of the price.

And finally, our favourite beach! Drive from Kamari and follow the signs to Perisa. When you pass Pyrgos, take left. You shall drive past a paintball field on your right hand. If you find the sign to the beach Captain "Something" (don't remember the name), you're on the right way. Don't drive down to the Captain beach, but follow the main road and take the next left turn. Than take another left turn, and hopefully you'll find the "hidden and secret beach". It's next to a big light-blue house, probably a hotel or something. Enjoy your stay!
