Top Local Tips for Santorini
Eating out in Kamari Some nice restaurants in Kamari beach are Saliveros for homemade greek food, Remy's for when you have had enough of greek food, Hooks for Iced coffees adn resonalbe coktails and some good music in the evening!
Kamari... A wonderfull getaway corner! Kamari has the cheapest food comparing to the whole main Island of Santorini. Nice clubs and restaurants on the beachside. Stick to the hotels only on the beachside of Kamari, they have the best facilities and good restaurants. Try the different bars/restaurants all of them are good and the people are very friendly. Lots of cheep stuff to buy from local souvenier shops. Water sports are expensive, but worth the money. Remember beach shoes, because Kamari has black sand/rock beach, which means they get VERY hot. And watch out your kids becaus you can't let them swim more than 5 meters of the shore, because water is deep. For swimmers it's a paradise. Santorini's best spot for those who want to swim. I tried all the beaches and this one was the best. For A1 hotels and romantic sunsets views there's only Oia town, but prices are HUGE!!! Have fun! Try donkey riding. Rent your own car or 4 wheel scooters, public transport it horrible and expensive!
