Just got back from this place. This hotel is Butlins Abroad. No it is not 5 star as is claimed. I would rate it as a reasonable 3 star at best. However this review is NOT for the able bodied, who will be able to cope with the fact that you need to be a mountain goat to participate in even a percentage of the facilities. It is absolutely NO GOOD AT ALL IF YOU ARE DISABLED IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM. Similarly if you rely on a buggy for your children, you will struggle, no doubt about it. Top pool? - forget it. Ampitheatre where all the entertainment is held? - an absolutely nono - loads of steps down. Go onto the beach? - long walk and a rough path await. Want to use the internet or play games? - down a spiral staircase!
The ramps either side of the steps shown at the front of the hotel are marble and people SKATE down them, make sure you have shoes that grip or you will slip. Need a sunbed? Get up at 7am and you may have a chance of getting one. Everywhere but everywhere is either steep slopes or steep stairs and not a handrail in sight.
Feeling a bit dodgy in the morning? Don't ask for a coffee to take out of the restaurant - it wont happen, similarly if you want a coffee from the rock cafe after 11pm - they dont serve it even though the bar is open until 12midnight.
Food was very samey - no traditional greek dishes per se.
As you can guess this is probably the worst holiday we have been on. My husband has MS and we always check out hotels quite thoroughly, so this was a huge let down. Mitsis dont have this information on their website, but apparently it is mentioned on another website that the hotel is not suitable for people with walking difficulties - be aware is all we can say.

We have been in Rodos 12 times and Rodos Village is the absolute best!
We just loved it! Clean and nice with great service.
We will be back in August 2008.

Arrived with hubby and two kids, 8 and 5 years for a 1 week's relaxing break. Hotel was clean, and a good size, although our bungalow was in need of a refurb... Couldn't fault the food, healthy options throughout and all staff polite and courteous. Now for the hiccups... really unimpressed with kids' activity programme. Kids took one look and didn't even want to join in, which is really unusual for them. It seems they dealt well with very small ones, youngsters from 10 upwards, but not much between. The Animation team worked hard in keeping people entertained, but overall, evening entertainment and kids' club not in either a 4* or 5* league. However, if you're looking for a clean, comfy hotel, which isn't rowdy and provides good food, then this is for you! The resort of Kiatari I believe is up and coming, but it has a way to go. It is quite desolate in location, just a smattering of a few hotels and apartments. The beach is ok, mix of sand/shingle, but the sea is nice and very clear in parts. Oh, one final point, unless you want to put your beach towel on the sunbed at between 1am - 6am to reserve, you will not get a sunbed... Not just the Germans, they were all doing it, including the Brits, shame on us!!! (ps. I got up too late to bother doing it)! Would we go back? Probably not, as I prefer the Northern part of Rhodes.
