Please take heed to the first review because we wish we had seen it before arriving at this so called hotel. Not joking! It was awful. We arrived in the wee small hours of the morning, grounds and chalets looked very down at heel, alarm bells started to ring immediatly in my head. My fears were realized when the door to the so called deluxe bedroom was opened and our first impression was to get away from this smelly, dirty, depressing, excuse of a room. No sleep was had that night. I wore my clothes that I travelled in all night as even the bed had blood stains on it and also the mosquito net had blood spats across it. The perverbial nightmare. Light of day didn't make any difference. Hungry, tired and with a splitting headache from the fumes of sewerage coming from the bathroom, we went for some fresh air towards the 'canteen'. Breakfast was something else! Tinned mushrooms in a banmarie, scrambled egg was tasteless, grown men (guests) squeezing oranges with a household squeezer, pathetic! Beware of the TIDY BUCKET! Staff members expect you to clean your table up afterwards and do not leave a cup on the table as it will be put back on your saucer and you will have a staff member scold you in Greek. After that fiasco we did not return. I phoned the travel company immediatly and met the rep. that night. Highly stressed, she had the usual speel and assured us we would be transferred the next day,sat about [outside] all day and no one came, phoned the company twice and our next potential downgraded hotel room was sold in the U.K. Saw another rep. second couldn't help, just sent down housekeeping to see blood splatters and was assured it would be thoroughly cleaned next day. NOT DONE! So needless to say, I could write a book about this hotel, but I'll finish off saying go somewhere else.

I have read the reviews above we must have stayed at a different resort.
Our rooms were shabby furniture dirty, broken and old. The restraunt was ok not 5 star. The food was canteen standard and the service was poor. The staff were miserable and everything seemed to much trouble.
I have never stayed anywhere that nobody spoke and everyone looked as though they wished they were somewhere else.
The pool bar was closed for two days on the trot with dirty glasses on the bar left from the time before. All the time when it was opened the staff were miserable.
To call Ixia a resort is one of the worst quotations ever it is like a group of hotels at the side of a busy main road in the middle of nowhere.
The best thing about the Miramre Wonderland is the road out thank god we were moved to another hotel. The Atrium Palace Lindos - now this is what you call 5 star.

We had a wonderful holiday in October this year at Miramare Hotel in Rhodos. The hotel is not like any other we have previously stayed in. Extremely romantic, wonderful and unusual rooms, beautiful garden with many paths for long evening walks. Right by the sea. Our waterfront suite was fantastic - we slept with the sound of the waves - that we miss now we are home again. The staff were wonderful and took notice of detail - we had champagne and a decorated cake - as the staff took note that we celebrated our wedding aniversary during our stay. How very kind. All our needs were catered for everyday, wonderful towels, fruit basket, fast room service, fantastic selection in the restaurants - and despite being the end of the season - top class entertainment. Probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We highly recommend.

Staff were lovely. Great location and resort - it runs all along the seafront. Food was great - it changed every evening. Everywhere in the resort was clean and only about 5 euros to get to Rhodes town.
Hopefully we will go again!!

Myself and my husband stayed at this fantastic hotel on our honeymoon in October 2005. The staff really put themselves out to make our stay memorable. Nothing was a bother. The hotel was clean, hygienic and the room very romantic. Fruit and wine on arrival. The view was stunning. Breakfast was unbelievable with choices available to suit any nationality. The hotel is a little more expensive then any of the others on the Island but by far worth paying that little extra for the service, standards and amenities. It is around 6 miles from Rhodes old and new town. The town is brilliant if you like shopping. Around 7-8 euros in a taxi. Sleep, sunbathe by the pool during the day and shop later afternoons into the evening. Some fantastic restaurants including Spyros - in the old part of town next to a Church. In addition, fantastic morrocan restaurant named Kasbah in the old town just up from the fountain. Would recommend anyone to this hotel without hesitation. It was warm in October around 20 in uk.
