We stayed here last month for a week half board. We had a fantasic room with a beautiful view of the coast. The food was superb and every single member of staff from manager to chamber maid were really friendly. The beach which is reached by a lift at the bottom of the hotel is lovely and the water is great for swimming in.

Would definately recommend it and would certainly go back.

We have stayed at the lindos mare before in sept 2003 when we got engaged at st pauls bay and thought it would be nice to get married there. When we went back this year in Aug to "i do". Again we stayed at the lindos mare. We had a lovely service followed by a reception at the hotel the setting was perfect, so was the food and the service. Nikos was the perfect "Captain" and Michalis was the perfect "Maitre D". All the staff were very helpful and a credit to the hotel.

I have had to think long and hard about writing this, simply because we dont want the hotel to be booked out in the future.

It is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The most beautiful location, excellent food and facilities, a wonderful spa, BUT what makes it stand out from anywhere else? the staff. I have never met such charming, friendly, kind and efficient people, providing a service, anywhere before. We felt at home after 24 hours, totally relaxed and blissfully happy. We were quite upset to leave as we felt we were leaving friends behind. Efrosini, Niklos, Martina, Stavros, Edna, all from the A la carte/pool bar were just lovely. Sorry if I forgot someone! The staff in the spa are also wonderful as were the massage/wraps. Buffet breakfast was superb, Lunch menu was great - never had a bad meal. The A la carte in the evening is a different menu from lunch, perfectly fine but it could be a little better. By that I mean more simple - a few greek specialities would be nice, Souvlaki maybe, meze, something like that. The pesto pasta wasnt good - it wasnt pesto, but I guess I shouldnt be ordering italian in Rhodes! Salads are superb as is fish. Otherwise the restaurant was superb and we never had a poor meal. The themed nights are fantastic - excellent entertainment and good food.

The area is very undeveloped, miles of empty beach and a couple of little tavernas within walking distance. A bus or £3 taxi ride away is the gorgeous and facinating town of Lindos with its acropolis and beautiful church. Wonderful ancient little town which comes alive at night. Would love some more info on the amazing frescos and floor in the church!! No real information given.

I couldnt possibly criticise anything - we loved it so much we already booked for next year.

However a few suggestions would be:
There were lots of weddings on when we were there, (because its so beautiful!!) which can take over a bit from your holiday, I think the hotel needs to be careful not to have too many in one week. You kind of feel like you are interupting something!

The bedrooms are fine, nicely furnished and immaculately clean - as is everywhere - the cleaners are also lovely and do a great job. However we had a total of about 8 hangers and 3 tiny drawers for 3 of us for 2 wks. There was no chest of drawers and the bedside table is a box with no drawer or cupboard so we had to live out of our suitcases to some extent as there was no where to put anything. (Could put more shelves inthe wardrobes for a cheap fix. It would also be nice to have a small kettle etc, we knew there wasnt one so brought a travel kettle - from experience most 4* hotels provide this. The childrens play room is a bit sparse and I do feel 2 euros per game is a bit steep on the pool and air hockey. Just something for the kiddies when they need to get out of the sun for a bit.

Thats it. Wonderful place. No real criticism. Cant wait to go back.

I chose this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and it did not disappoint at all. The waiting staff in the restaurant and bar are so welcoming and friendly and the Maitre d' Michalis is a real star. He treated us like royalty every night. The rooms are not luxurious but very well appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. Some balconys have better views than others but nearly all have sea views. Breakfast is fantastic, a huge buffet and the service is excellent. The only disappointment was dinner at the A La Carte restaurant. The menu there is exactly the same as lunchtime (it's by the pool) and it is not really a true A La Carte menu. They should specialise in fresh fish and charge more money it they want to make it really special. You can upgrade your meal from the main restaurant to the A La Carte restaurant and you get 9 euros towards it but personally unless you eat up there on one of the theme nights its not really worth it. The pool is super and the beds are very comfortable and clean - with lots of umbrellas for when it gets really hot. Lindos is so pretty and the restaurants there are excellent. We went right at the start of the Summer holidays (20th July) and it was lovely. You do need to 'dress' for dinner and so you should!!! Some of the guests were politely asked by Michalis to put on long trousers for dinner and not shorts and their favourite team's football shirts, but thankfully they obliged. This hotel obviously has very high standards and you cannot blame it for wishing its guests to have them too, so anyone who wants to wear shorts, flipflops and football shirts to dinner - please stay away.

The Lindos Mare Hotel was absolutely superb. Our room was cleaned to a high standard daily, with clean sheets and towels provided pretty much daily.

The food was wonderful! Almost too much choice with a buffet that must suit everyone's tastes.

The pool was clean and the sun loungers around it were high quality and plentiful.

Although it is not possible to walk to Lindos from the hotel, and it is fairly isolated, there is a lovely taverna or two just down the beach.

If you aren't very fit, the walk from the beach back to the hotel and the lifts, is an absolute killer!

My only recommendation is that you don't go with Manos Travel as the service from that company was the worst I have experienced. The other recommendation is that if you book any trips through Pallas travel you ask for a full and clear explanation of what is actually being offered in the trip - we found some of the trips extremely poor value for money and the trip descriptions misleading.

We have just returned from Lindos Mare, Rhodes after a two week stay with our two children (6 & 8) one word describes our Hotel EXCELLENT! We were made to feel extremely special, nothing was too much trouble, ALL the members of staff were freindly, provided first class service at all times and allowed us the peace and tranquility we required from our holiday.
Having two young children the Lindos Mare provided adequate and suitable food at all meal times for our children, they felt so special everyday once being greeted by the restaurant Manager (Michalis) and his staff, as they all remembered their names from the offset, fantastic, what an excellent run and organised Hotel.
During our stay we hired a car for three days, which we organised through the Hotel, again first class, easy and straightforward no hidden extras. We visited Rhodes old town and surrounding areas, and a couple of trips in Lindos town, when we then exchanged the car for the donkies, what an experience through the cobbled streets on a donkey the children still talk about it now.
We asked numerous questions ranging from local attractions, the best beaches on the island, were could we buy x y z? nothing was too much trouble, if the Manager or staff could not answer our questions immediately they would find out for us, again nothing was too much trouble, thank you.
Our accomodation was kept clean and tidy by the maids, always clean towels, bedding, toilet roll etc. we did not have to lift a figure, now thats what I call a holiday!!!
Rhodes is very special to us we love the island, especially the local people they are so warm and welcoming, we would not hesitate to stay at the Lindos Mare in the future, it's the best we have ever stayed at and no doubt will be for a long time, we have already looked at booking again this October!

Our daughter, Helen, recently married her fiance, Oliver, at St Paul's Bay, Lindos, followed by a reception at the Lindos Mare Hotel. They couldn't have made a better choice - it was perfect! Friends and family joined us there for the wedding and a week's holiday and, without exception, they said it was the best holiday they'd ever had. What made it so good? The management and staff at the Lindos Mare Hotel! We have stayed in many hotels in our time, but never one where we felt so welcome and so special. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, and the setting was just beautiful. All our friends are saying - "shall we go back again next year?" - and I think we just might!

We got married in Lindos this year and stayed for a fourtnight at the Lindos Mare along with many family and friends.

I really cannot praise the hotel and the staff enough, it is a wonderful hotel and the staff are second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble, we really could not find fault with anything!

Many of my friends are planning on going back next year!

The spa is excellent i would recommend a hot stone massage, the food is lovely and the location perfect.

The Lindos Mare really is a very special place and the best hotel i have ever stayed in (and i have stayed in a few!)

We stayed at the lindos mare for 2 wks from 25th may 05. we married at st pauls bay on the 31st may & had our reception at the hotel. We will never forget the staff & service which was both impeccable. The food was lovely & the view over the bay was amazing. We were the first couple to have our reception upstairs as another wedding party objected to the 23 of us having it next to theirs ! this was a first but the manager made amends for this by offering us a more secluded, private alternative with an even better view. He could not believe why they had never thought of the place were had our reception before. I would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of getting married in lindos especially to have their wedding reception at the hotel. the decoration of the table & the tranquil setting just set the tone for a wonderful evening. The extras of breakfast in bed the day after the wedding, rose petals scattered everywhere in your room on the wedding night & champagne on ice are nice touches to making it a day to remember. we will certainly be back soon. p.s michaelis the restaurant manager is the spit of rafa benitez!!

Returned from Lindos on 19th May 2005 after two wonderful weeks of serious luxury and pampering! We married in the Lindos Mare Hotel on Monday 16th May in the beautiful rose gardens, we were then spoiled for the whole evening by the lovely staff as they served food and wine as we sat round our decorated table which was all done by the hotel staff.
The wedding day was wonderful and the amazing spa where a bride to be can be pampered to her hearts content adds to the whole experience of being spoiled, even husband to be tried out sauna and hydrotherepy bath to name a few! We woke up every morning to a spectacular view from our balcony where it was very pleasant to sit and enjoy a drink with loved ones.
Food is wonderful there, breakfast especially catering for everyones taste.
We hope to go back to the Lindos Mare Hotel for our 5th aniversary to see this beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and magnificent beaches.
