Top Local Tips for Rhodes
symi and Lindos If you are going to Rhodes and are interested in the history, then you need to take day trips out to neighbouring Symi and Lindos. They take 2 hours by boat to get to each but are well worth it. Symi has a history of leather production sponge diving and spices, so is excellent to learn abot all these traditions whilst there, and buy some of the produce. You can also visit St Micheals Monastaty which is beautiful. The town is unlike anything I have seen before with the houses built into the hills, but the place is very hot. At Lindos you can walk up or take a Donkey ride to the Acropolis which is truely breathtaking and sample the shops along the way. Loved it!
