We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at villa Kassandra. Pedros and Veronica who own the hotel are extremley welcoming and very freindly. The hotel has a lovely pool with a small childrens pool. It is set amongs olive and lemon groves and from the balcony's there are sea veiws. we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was spotlessly clean, and light and airy. one room had a double bed and french doors openening on to the balcony, the other room had twin beds. there is a living area with a kitchenette, well stocked for cooking if you plan on eating in, there are plenty of pans, plates cutelry ect,2 hobs and a conventional oven.Veronica and Pedros generously provided us with plenty of their homemade olive oil, homegrown lemons, tomatoes ect,absolutley delicious! the villa was a little difficult to find as it is set back from the road, and it is actually just outside kalo horio, in the area called istron, but if you ask any of the locals they will direct you. Istron itself is beautiful, the beaches are small and unspoilt,clear turquise waters and not too busy. There are many gardens and olive groves and a good choice of tavernas, I would very highly recomend Christobelos on the main road, Gorgio provides the warmest welcome, his mother Maria and wife Mari-anna cook the best greek food I have ever tasted and father Yanis catches the fish daily, very reasonably priced also!.If like me you are a coffee addict and are in search of a classy cuppa Smile cafe is located near the pharmacy the best cappucino's outside of Rome!! If you are looking for an authentic greek holiday, in a scenic, peaceful location whith lovely welcoming people, this is the right place for you, we will definatley visit again.
