Top Local Tips for Nafplio

Beautiful, walkable city Nauplion is a great city to visit. It is very pretty and also oriented to tourist without being too touristy. There are nice walks available and I wspecially recommend the walk to the castle. I think there are around 800-900 steps up to the top of the castle but it is definitely worth the effort. My wife and I both did it without any trouble and we are in our late 50's. For those who do not wish to walk one can catch a taxi to the top. Around Nauplion there are a variety of historical areas to visit. We did not visit the beach that is outside of town but did see the small beach located in the city. It was a bit small although the other beach is supposed to be much larger. Nauplion was one of our favorite cities in Greece.
