Top Local Tips for Lesvos

Getting around There is a good bus service for the North of the island, connecting, Kalloni, Petra, Anaxos, Molyvos and Eftalou. Surprisingll the time table is quite accurate and the buses are air conditioned and very cheap. This is handy for those who may like to walk from Petra to Molyvos, do some shopping and dining before getting a bus back.

Food We went into Petra one evening to eat but didn't bother after that and instead stayed at Lassia because the food is excellent, especially Kleftiko! Saw some comments about walking into Petra but if you know the little shortcut its only 10-15 mins away so not a great distance! We did have some lunches in Petra which we enjoyed (Womens Co-operative) and there's an internet Cafe and bar run by Tim who's a good laugh! Love to go back next year!!
