A well kept secret

The Aegeon Hotel for its grade was wonderful. Located in a quiet rural location with no traffic noise and 6 minutes walk from the beach. The Town Square where most of the authentic Greek tavernas are situated is a 15 minute stroll. The rooms are a good size with a fridge and a nice balcony. The bathroom by Greek standards is excellent with a shower and almost constant hot water. You ever get a shower curtain. The cold buffet breakfast is plentiful and a reasonable variety although it the same ever day. The staff treat you more as friends than clients. The swimming pool is small as is no go for non swimmers. The sun beds and umbrellas are free and the pool bar is open until late evening and it a great place to mingle with the other guests. There are about 35 rooms here and is recommended for couples who like a tranquil and lazy holiday. You can hire pedal bikes for 5 euros a day at reception.

My husband and I got married on May'07 and were looking for a nice place to stay for our honeymoon. We found Aegeon Hotel through the web. It was a very friendly place,clean with a pool bar. We enjoyed staying there as the bar was open until early in the morning and breakfast was our favorite time of the day.

Peace and quiet

The Aegeon Aparthotel is located in a rural location some 8 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes to the tavernas. The rooms were comfortable, clean and simply furnished. a fridge was available on request and air conditioning was an expensive optional extra. The pool area was very pleasant and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was passable and it was a nice way to start the day and meet the other guests. The resort and the hotel is very much geared to couples wanting tranquility. There is an excellent selection of authentic Greek Tavernas. No public transport so if you do not want to feel isolated then car hire is suggested, otherwise there are some great walks from the resort. The beach did suffer somewhat from sea grass.
