I have stayed in many much better unclassified hotels in Greece than this class 3 hotel. I stayed for 2 weeks in July. From the time I arrived to the time I left the cistern ran noisily permanetly. I reported it on arrival, the next day, to the rep a number of times and eventually gave up when I found the mains tap and turned it off so I could sleep at night. For 2 days there was no hot water at all. Although this used to be a problem in Greece I have not encountered it in the last 12 years. My room was carpeted. The carpet was dirty and had some large unsightly stains on it. There was one tiny light in the bath room. The lights over the bed and dressing table did not work and the only other light was in the curtain pelmet. The only socket to plug in a hairdryer was nowhere within reach of a mirror to see what you were doing.
However the maid service and air conditioning all worked fine. There is a lovely, good sized and spotless roof swimming pool. A tiny poolside bar operating during the day and evening has a delighful young lady running it but sadly virtually no-one uses it in the evening. The choice at breakfast was good and the roof top view beautiful but the furniture could do with repainting.
Agios nikitas is NOT the tiny village that is portayed except in winter it seems when there are only 20 residents. In summer it is absolutely heaving with people flowing down the tiny main street like a river in flood. The village beach is so packed you cannot put a foot on the beach between the towels and umbrellas. The water taxi to Milos beach only works when there are no waves! 5 days out of 14 in my case. I would never ever go there again but if you want crowds and scruffy it might be your cup of tea.
