Superb staff, activites, sports & service

Great place for families. The staff were attentive & quick to resolve any problems. Fantastic kids'clubs with responsible, dedicated staff. Food choice and quality excellent. Hotel clean and well-kept. Biggest plus were the fantastic sports and instruction available - but, if it's tennis you're interested in, this can easily double the cost of your holiday - instruction or use of the ball machine is paid locally and, if you don't book instruction (which in 2007 was 40€ per hour!) there's rarely any courts available for free play (except during the hottest period from lunch time to 3 o'clock). This was end of June/beginning July, not even during peak holiday period & the hotel was far from full!

Shame about the location

All that has been said about this hotel is true. Basic but v. clean, friendly staff and good food. What they don't tell you is that it is only 15 mins from the airport and as such you have aircraft arriving all the time over head. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for peace and quiet. If you do want to escape the hotel then kardamena is the local town a Pukka pie town full of pukka pie brits on hols. Make the trip to Kos town well worth it.

I have been to Lakitira 6 times since 2000, and going again in September. It's a holiday where you can do as much or as little as you want. My daughter learned to sail at Lakitira and is now working there! My son did his first PADI course there and now teaches scuba. I relax on the beach and do the aerobics. Food excellent. Facilities outstanding. Rooms simply furnished but clean and pleasant. I have met some fantastic people. Its a holiday for families, couples, singles. Excellent!
