Excellent Hotel
Having stayed in lower class accomodations in Kos we decided to pay the extra and stay in the Kos Imperial and from the second we arrived we had a fantastic time. The reception staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Our room was lovely with panoramic views, bathroom was large with a very good shower. All the staff we met in the hotel were friendly and always made a fuss of the children. One of the lovely cleaning ladies made a fuss of our baby daughter every time she saw her giving her sweets and always having her PJ's folded for her on the bed. Lovely little touches!
The breakfast room was very large and the choice of food was fantastic. There was a huge selection of breads, cakes, fruit, cereals, hot food etc. We dined twice in The Pavillions restaurant for dinner which was also very nice, great choice and not too unreasonably priced. Housekeeping was always friendly and although not everyone spoke English, there was always someone nearby to help translate. It's not a boutique hotel, so you're quite anonymous which in itself can be very relaxing.
We're a 50+ couple, but for children (grandchildren) there is a special pool surrounded by couples with young children, a playground next to the pool on the beach and a clubhouse halfway up the gardenpath (English and German).
We rented a car (automatic) across the road (next to the mini market/hotel also has a lshop in the cellar) from Budget and got a good deal. Three days and CDW plus full insurance for 118 euro's. Particularly...Read more
