Historical Traveller Reviews of Hotel Alice Springs Lambi
This is a great Hotel
from thecapThe hotel is spotlessly clean, with fresh linen every day. We stayed on a room only basis which was fine for us as we liked to get out and about. Kos Town is super for shopping. We hired bikes and cycled to Tingaki, which was great. We also went on a 3 island boat trip and took the little train up to Askeplion. The week passed in a flash.
It was always great to return to the hotel after a day out as George and Barbara or Elias loved to hear what you had been doing.
They are such lovely people and we were sad to leave. We loved Kos and loved the Alice Springs Hotel.
Just a note to say also this hotel you can flush paper down the loo, not all hotels you can do this.
Do go to George & Barbara’s barbeque and Klefito evenings they are such fun. Also George showed us how to make Tzasaki!! – it was great George!. We hope to meet up with you again sometime. We will never forget you all and the wonderful welcome you gave to us. We are part of an ever expanding family of very satisfied Guests. Good on you George Barbara and Elias. All the best.

The friendliest Hotel in Kos
from travelbug2398The hotel was spotless, and so were the rooms, they were cleaned every day with fresh towels daily too.
The pool area was also kept very clean and nice comfey sunbeds to use for free around it. Just watch out for George if he has his orange bucket with him when you are sunbathing! Only kidding George. I have never has so much fun at a hotel in all my life.
The BBQ night is a definate must do night, the cheekbones in my face were hurting with laughter. George and Barbra put a lot of hard work and effort in to making this night brilliant and the food is delicious.
We made lots of really nice friends on the holiday thanks to George who makes sure you get gabbing to the other holiday makers in a way that you wouldn't even notice. Hi to Stef and Trevor (thanks for your pants trev), Nat and Debbie, Andy and Nic, you are all wonderful people and I'm sure we will all bump in to each other in the Alice Springs Hotel over the next few years.
I will be returning to this hotel for sure in the future.

ALICE PSRINGS IS THE BEST HOTEL IN KOS - NO IN THE WHOLE OF GREECE !
from GrettaBWhere do I start – the welcome when we got there was wonderful George the owner stays up to welcome each of his guests personally no matter what time of the night they arrive (even though he is always up and around the hotel at 6am every day !). He makes sure he learns everyone’s name and introduces you to other the guests so that you feel at home the moment you arrive. He was telling us jokes within about 10 minutes of our arrival (loved the one about the retiring postman George).
Barbara, George’s wife, is lovely, she too makes everyone feel very welcome and the food she serves at the snack bar is really good, nothing is too much trouble.
Elias their son works behind the pool side bar and is also very, very helpful (and funny).
The bbq and Kleftikol nights are not to be missed and help to bring everyone together even more with fun and games and dancing for all.
The hotel is very near to Lambi beach (which is a bit crowded with sun beds, but who needs the beach when you have the gorgeous pool at Alice Springs) and within walking distance of beautiful Kos town.
The rooms are spotlessly clean with clean towels everyday, the sun beds by the pool had mattresses on, not something you get everywhere. I asked if I could have a fridge in my room and one was put there straight away.
When it’s time to go home George is around to say goodbye to everyone what ever time they leave (do you ever sleep George?).
We will definitely be going back next year (if you’ll have us George & Barbara).
Excellence
from Paul_LisaIf you’re planning to stay in Kos stay at Alice Springs, it’s well known throughout the island. Many guests from other hotels even came to join in the fun.
You must go to George’s BBQ, it’s a great night and enjoyed by everyone. You are guaranteed a few laughs!!
Bar (open till late), pool and other facilities are great including the fact that you can choose what to watch on the TV at the bar – just ask George for the remote. Anything you need, they will sort for you from car hire to recommending the best places to eat and where not to eat.
These reviews decided our holiday for us as they are so positive but believe us the experience is even better, indescribable, but definitely a holiday not to be missed.

from simbasltLocation, facilities and atmosphere were spot on, wouldnt have changed anything.
We stayed in room only but had everything you needed, you can hire fridges and air con and they are cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided.
Great pool bar, stays open late - very late Elias!!!!
Fun BBQ on a Monday night, and the Lamb night is a must.
George and Barbara are around all day ensuring your holiday is enjoyable and will sort out anything you need i.e car hire etc.
Thanks for a geat Holiday

Brilliant holiday
from llllllllllllllllllllGeorge and Barbara, the couple who own the hotel, are amazing hosts. They make everyone feel welcome and are always offering help and advice in order to make your holiday the best it can be. The bbq and kleftiko nights are particularly special and should not be missed.
A holiday at the Alice Springs hotel has everything you could wish for; a beautiful swimming pool, a lovely beach within 5 mins, Kos town just a short walk away, the hotel is immaculately presented and the hosts are incredible.
brilliant

Sunset and Cocktail bar Just down the road from Alice Springs, there is a resteraunt named Sunset. Roy is a vegetarian and they had so many items on their menu that it was impossible to go hungry. With every meal also comes a free spirit or shot at the end when you are paying the bill. Each time it is something different. The people here are also amazing and so friendly. Next door to Sunset is a cocktail bar which has over 230 cocktails! Being a big lover of cocktails, i tried every night to get through as many as possible. I think one night i managed 6. I dont remember what happened after that. They also serve usual drinks, such as bootled beer and beers etc on draught.
old ruins kos has many things to see just walk round the back steets and you will come across them. definatly get a book about the history of local sites
Kos airport Stay calm!! this airport and it's staff are'nt the quickest! You will queue for ages, and the queue is outside the building!
