They have only an old latch to lock the door!Anyone with a magnet could open this old door!U could see everything from the keyhole!
The a/c needed a maintainance because it smelled really bad.
The bathroom also smelled bad because of the drain.Of course it didn't have a window and the ventilation was broken!
The room was very small to move around 2 people in it.
The antenna of the t.v. was inside the room -they din't have a satellite t.v.- and we had to move around the antenna in every different channel we wanted to watch!
The walls had mould on them and the paint almost all over the room was chipped off. Also the pillows were very dirty. And all that for 90 euros!
The worst part is that something serious came up in we had to stoppage our vacation and hasten return back to Athens and they demand from us to pay them the half of the rest five days
that we booked to stay there!
Imagine our disappointment we had to stoppage our vacation,we paid them everyday 90 euros for terrible......

My wife and I are British although we have lived for some years in the dark heart of Italy. We are not easily impressed since our own home is in a very beautiful location in the middle of Italy and bordering one of Italy's most beautiful lakes. In the past few years we have visited a number of Italian islands: some good and other: bad experiences. This island surpasses all of those and to cap our great holiday, this family hotel was the icing on the cake.
The hotel is run by two charming sisters who have taken over the family business from Dad. Their hotel management style projects a family home by the sea environment and as other reviewers have remarked in the past, all the hotel staff are wonderfully hospitable, friendly and obliging. (one of the staff is in our submitted photographs)
The hotel pool and garden are immaculately kept and the pool is very clean and is great for doing a set of morning laps before breakfast!
The hotel is quiet and yet only a 5 minute walk into......

Our stay at Summery Hotel was well worth our money. It is one of the few times where we can say that our vacation was well spent.
The personnel is absolutely professional and friendly. From the cleaning personnel, the maintanence guy to the owners.
The hotel is situated just 5 minutes outside the hustle and the bustle of Lixouri Town which is ideal if you want to enjoy a quiet stay without being isolated.
It has everything you need for a relaxed vacation. A swim at the beach infront of the hotel; a swim in the well-kept pool; a drink in the cool gardens; watch some TV on the patio; everyone there seems so relaxed (and I mean the visitors) that you really feel comfortable and at home.
The rooms are a little small, but that's really not a problem, because the facilities and the personnel really make you feel so welcome and at home that you hardly feel the need to spend time in the room, other than to lie down.
Everything is nearby; the square of Lixouri town, restaurants,......

Not wishing to repeat myself on last years review but we have once again returned to reality with a bump. Yet another wonderful holiday in the Summery, the welcome is always warm and friendly, and the hotel spotless. In Lixouri there have been a few more changes, all for the better, new buildings in traditional style. We have booked up again for next year so watch this space.

We have stayed in the Summery twice and the second was even better than the first. The staff are fantastic. Lixouri is our favourite place in Greece. Unfortunately we cannot visit this year but will definitely be back next year.
