What holidays should be!!!

First stay was July 04, as mature couple had a really great stay, all services at the hotel could not be bettered, went back 2005 and took our 22 year old daughter, again everything met ours and hers expectations.
We are returning June 06 for two weeks, just love the place and people, good day out is to take the bus to Poros.

We have stayed at San Giorgio on three previous occassions and can not wait to return in August 06. The family and staff are nothing short of excellent and I include all the staff from cleaners, waiters, reception and bar staff. Makis at the bar is a gem of a guy and typifies the cheery and helpful attitude of everybody at the San Giorgio. Spotleesly clean, impeckably run with great views. The San Giorgio sets the standards for others to aspire to.....never bettered in our experiences......roll on August!

Have stayed here 3 times, going back for a 4th next yr. Friendly staff, fantastic views with peace and quiet. Bliss. Have been to Kefalonia 15 times now and I never get tired of it.

Very clean, with very helpful and friendly staff. The owners were great and made us very welcome, they very friendly and joined in on the entertainment nights, singing and dancing. We had a fantastic time and found the free mini-bus service into Skala very handy. The food in the restaurant was superb. We would definately go back again.

A very friendly hotel in a fantastic location with plenty of amenities but retaining a personal feel. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent and good value for money. My three children (17,13 and 12) loved the hotel too. I didn't speak to any guest who had a bad word to say about San Giorgio and all said they would stay there again and/or recommend it to others.I just wish I were still there !

My partner and I stayed in the San Giorgio in 2002 and 2003. We loved it, friendly, very clean snd if you get the right room beautiful sea views. If you are going there this year don't be worried you will not be diappointed. Only wish we were going back this year.....

We first visited Kefalonia in 2002 for 1 week. We stayed at San Giorgio Skala. Their hospitality was second to none, everyone was very helpful & friendly, the rooms had everything you need we felt like one of the family, so much so the owner came to see us off when we went home. A very tearful farewell. We would reccommend anyone to the San Giorgio. We are now having 2 weeks at San Giorgio this year and are looking forward to it very much.

Top Local Tips for Kefalonia

General Tips Do hire a car unless you want to sloth about at the hotel and not move. You can get a taxi to the nearest town which has bars and restaurants. It is not the place for you if you want heavy nightlife/discos etc. Hiring a car will enable you to see lovely parts of the island which may otherwise remain inaccessible by public transport (if there is any!). This is a lovely unspoilt Greek island not tainted by mass tourism as yet... tranquil, beautiful and very relaxing.

Trip to the Onnasis Island This is a must do trip - fantastic!

The airport Had to queue outside the airport for about three hours as it's so small
