just come back from staying at Princess Hotel. It was a lovely, clean and friendly hotel. We walked to a few in the area, and this is by far the best. The pool area is lovely, and plenty of beds and tables and chairs, within a lovely setting. To get the breakfast at its hottest, get there as early as possible, (8.00a.m they open), as the food can get warm rather than hot, but no problem, it was varied and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly. Location excellent with plenty of restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We went to Kefalonia (Princess Hotel) for a week, and i must say, as did all of us, that it does need 'work'. I took my two daughters,11 and 12, and my Mum 68, and for myself and my Mum the location was fine, nice, quiet and relaxing, but my girls were beyond bored as there were no children to be seen at the hotel and maybe only a handful when we were out and about. As for The Princess Hotel you cant fault the staff, all pleasent and helpful but the rooms are SO tired, badly decorated, very old-fashioned and ours (no'39) had alot of damp and mould creeping up the walls! We were on the ground floor, no view of anything at all, overlooked by many rooms if you decided to sit outside the room on the old, uncomfortable patio set! The breakfast was ok, nothing special, same every morning. From the front the Hotel looks very nice and the reception and dining areas are very up to date but thats where it ends, behind all that you'll find the bedrooms and they need sorting out as they do not live up to a 3star rating by a long shot! Definately not the place to take kids, well not older ones anyway.

Very clean tidy hotel with good breakfast and a limited range but very good food in the evenings. Comfortable pool area and set just across from probably one of the best beaches on Kephalonia!! In easy walking distance of several taverns and bars 6 euros in taxi to the captal Argostoli. Lady who ran the pool bar during the day was one of the nicest people you could meet!

We stayed at The Priness Hotel, Lasi for the first two weeks of September 2008 and were somewhat unsure after reading previous reviews admittedly after we had booked! To our delight the hotel, was one of the best we have stayed in in Greece, and we have been to over 15 Islands. The location is excellent for the beach (5 min) and town main street(10 min), where all the bars and Taverna's are situated. The room was adequate and cleaned to a high standard every day. The brakfast was good with fruit, cereal, and egg/bacon/potatoes/tomatoes from the warm section. The only downside is there is one slow toaster! The reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming and if the barman "John" had smiled during his evening happy hour it would have resulted in a 10/10 score! Excellent holiday and would not hesitate in recommending "The Princess."

Stopped in 2006 fantastic time. 2007 like a different hotel, breakfast terrible, food cold, old always running out, always seemed short of staff. The entertainment seemed to be the staff constantly fighting and shouting at each other. Kefalonia is a wonderful place to visit, shame about the Princess.

The Princess Hotel is very attractive from the outside and reception areas but the room we were allocated was very basic. We were unlucky enough to be at the back of the hotel on the ground floor. No view of the pool or sea, or anything for that matter. There was no privacy from overlooking balconies or the path if we opened the patio doors. A net curtain would have been nice. It was very gloomy and we had to keep the lights on to be able to see. The beds are too hard. The service during breakfast was not very good with tables not being cleared and trays not being replenished. Lassi itself has nothing to offer and the beach is a steep walk down a hill. I wouldn't go there again. Kefalonia itself is a stunning island and a car is a must to get around it but most of the resorts are fairly laid back with a few souvenier shops and tavernas. Argostoli and Lixori are very nice and worth a vist.

The Princess Hotel is a beatiful place to go for your holiday in Kefalonia. Denise and the staff make you fell very welcome and the resort of Lassi is great with superb beaches and many bars and tavernas. Give a try you will not be dissapointed.

That's in a relaxed way, well thought out hotel, relaxing decore, excellent staff, great location, two gripes, my bed was like sleeping on concrete and I thought 12 euros a bit steep for a double smirnoff when it was only 10 euros a litre at the shop, Will return again

We booked here based on previous reviews posted on various sites. All previous comments were fully justified...Great rooms, cleaned daily, air con inclusive.Breakfast was very good. Plenty of room by pool or a great beach a couple of minutes walk away. We did sense a slight atmosphere between the reception staff and the snack bar/pool bar staff and couldn;t quite work out who was working for who. As with most hotels the alcohol & beverage prices were marked up 1/2 to a euro higher than in the local taverna's but this was made up by the convenience of not walking into town. One negative point was the road noise during the day if you had to sit at the wrong end of the pool area.No ATM's in LASSI so take a small amount of currency out with you. Argostili is only a few miles by taxi or bus and has plenty of hole in the wall machines.

We've been back to the Princess 5 times in 2 years!

The princess hotel is fantastic; we were so impressed that we returned to the same hotel 5 times in 2 years! Very friendly but not obtrusive, very clean, helpful, just brilliant location for the beach, everything is superb. We did just once stay somewhere else, and lived to regret it! Haven't been back for 5 years (two children later), but are hoping to return this year! In a way I don't want to give such a good review, because we scared the island will be 'mobbed' but that's just being selfish isn't it! I would highly recommend Kefalonia to anyone and don't stay anywhere, but the Princess Hotel in Lassi!
