just come back from staying at Princess Hotel. It was a lovely, clean and friendly hotel. We walked to a few in the area, and this is by far the best. The pool area is lovely, and plenty of beds and tables and chairs, within a lovely setting. To get the breakfast at its hottest, get there as early as possible, (8.00a.m they open), as the food can get warm rather than hot, but no problem, it was varied and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly. Location excellent with plenty of restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We went to Kefalonia (Princess Hotel) for a week, and i must say, as did all of us, that it does need 'work'. I took my two daughters,11 and 12, and my Mum 68, and for myself and my Mum the location was fine, nice, quiet and relaxing, but my girls were beyond bored as there were no children to be seen at the hotel and maybe only a handful when we were out and about. As for The Princess Hotel you cant fault the staff, all pleasent and helpful but the rooms are SO tired, badly decorated, very old-fashioned and ours (no'39) had alot of damp and mould creeping up the walls! We were on the ground floor, no view of anything at all, overlooked by many rooms if you decided to sit outside the room on the old, uncomfortable patio set! The breakfast was ok, nothing special, same every morning. From the front the Hotel looks very nice and the reception and dining areas are very up to date but thats where it ends, behind all that you'll find the bedrooms and they need sorting out as they do not......

We stayed at The Priness Hotel, Lasi for the first two weeks of September 2008 and were somewhat unsure after reading previous reviews admittedly after we had booked! To our delight the hotel, was one of the best we have stayed in in Greece, and we have been to over 15 Islands. The location is excellent for the beach (5 min) and town main street(10 min), where all the bars and Taverna's are situated. The room was adequate and cleaned to a high standard every day. The brakfast was good with fruit, cereal, and egg/bacon/potatoes/tomatoes from the warm section. The only downside is there is one slow toaster! The reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming and if the barman "John" had smiled during his evening happy hour it would have resulted in a 10/10 score!
Excellent holiday and would not hesitate in recommending "The Princess."

Very clean tidy hotel with good breakfast and a limited range but very good food in the evenings. Comfortable pool area and set just across from probably one of the best beaches on Kephalonia!! In easy walking distance of several taverns and bars 6 euros in taxi to the captal Argostoli.
Lady who ran the pool bar during the day was one of the nicest people you could meet!

Stopped in 2006 fantastic time. 2007 like a different hotel, breakfast terrible, food cold, old always running out, always seemed short of staff. The entertainment seemed to be the staff constantly fighting and shouting at each other. Kefalonia is a wonderful place to visit, shame about the Princess.
