Had a brilliant holiday here in 2005 and hoping to return this year. Hotel in a fabulous location just across quiet road from beach. Food in restaurant excellent. Rooms basic but adequate and very clean. Highly recommended.

Top Local Tips for Kefalonia

Boat Trips Don't buy in to the expensive 'company run' boat trips (i.e. Thomas Cook). Locally run boat trips go daily from the beach for a fraction of the price.

Boats Alot of really good trips (inc. Boat trips) which you can book from the hoghstreet and on Skala Beach Road. And the boat taxis.

Be Prepared Our early bird holiday turned out to be our most sunniest & most rain free holiday in Greece to date during May & June, only rained on final day. Lovely time of year, not too crowded and area abounds with prett spring flowers - fortunately after several wet experiences we had our Plastic Macs. Evenings pleasant & comfortable with either light jacket or cardigan.
