Car hire Be warned the roads in Cephalonis are lethal in the wet. I think I am a fast driver who could drive anywhere but its almost impossible to keep a jeep in a straight line when it rains and as for a bike forget it. Dont think whats he on about the roads are dry! Go round a mountain bend and find a damp road you will go into the most exicting of spins imaginable. Please dont think I am being a over cautious here in England I ride a GSXR 1000 and drive a Subaru, however spining on a mountain with a shear drop tested my metal, please be warned.

Andromeda If you eat nowhere else go to the Andromeda. It's a little off the main road but the food is fantastic. For good home cooked style food that is cheap the Casa de Blue is good (the guy who runs this also runs the sun loungers on the beach so we got a discount when at the restaurant as we had used his beds in the day!). The Olive Lounge is a good inbetween price wise and again the food was great.

Definately get a hire car Even though you can get the basics and have meals nearby it is a good idea to hire a car maybe for a week.You can then get around easy and can get to the main sites
