Skala is a great resort with plenty to do and enough places to eat to make anybody happy. The Captain's House was clean and had Sky TV and sports to watch in the communal areas. The staff however were not overly friendly. When we go abroad we like the hotel owner/manager to know and volunteer information about the resort but this did not happen. For the seven days the only information on offer was the fact that the bar oppositte (The Captain's Bar, their own business) is a great place to go to drink. The breakast, what breakfast! We have been to Greece many times but this breakfast really takes the biscuit. 1 cup of coffee or tea, 1 glass of weak squash, 1 piece of bread (not Sundays) and 1 packet of continental packet toast. You can help yourself to some Cornflakes - but the milk tastes like water. Powdered I suspect. We will return to Kefalonia and Skala but not there.

restaurants The resaturants are all fantastic here, but in Flamingoes in Skala it offers amazing food and wine selection as well as lovely staff, the owner even looks like burt reynolds!!! no lie :o)
