This hotel is very hard if not impossible to contact on line although they provided an E mail booking form on their website. There was no response. In the end we just rang and they confirmed a room for myself and wife arriving from Athens. Using an online agency was a waste of time, they came back with the comment that there weren't any rooms available at the Hydroussa shortly before the hotel itself confirmed one for us. The hotel is nicely situated on a pleasant square of lemon trees. Nothing is very far in Hydra town so the short walk from the port with minimal week-end baggage was easy. Had we come from abroad or were staying for more than a few days we could have used one of the donkey taxis to carry the load. The hotel itself is in an old stone building and has a very interesting lounge with antiques.
