I visited Chios last year with my family! My plans were to stay in Chios for a week and then visit Turkey. However my family loved the location of Erytha and we stayed there for 2 weeks!! I strongly recommend it for family trips!

I had a really wonderfull time and a lot of memories. Very good service, exeptional sea view and a very romantic mood. Wonderful barbeq nights. I loved its private beach and the pool bar. I was there during July. Prices seemed to us ok. The location is super and very close to Karfa area. I recomend it to you that love to discover new things. Chios is a very nice destination for summer. Erytha was a great hotel to stay.

A unique destination Medieval Villages (Mesta, Pyrgi,..), Volissos, Anavatos, Great beaches, monuments, Greek hospitality and friendliness, awesome history, unbelievable food and drinks, traditional dishes with mastic, cosmetics with mastic...Generally a unique destination for travellers of all ages that perfectly combines natural beauties and culture!!!

Beautiful off the beaten track Greek island I loved the island. Lots of culture (home of the legendary poet Homer), history (because of the monopoly in mastic production a number of conquerors have passed from the island leaving their interesting marks behind), medieval settlements with unique architectural features such as Anavatos, Mesta and Pyrgi, the posh area of Kambos with long high walls keeping the luxury mansions of well known for their wealth and power Greek families out of sight and wonderful beaches such as Mavra Volia, all contribute to making Chios a hidden gem, well off the beaten track. Some of the mansions in Kambos are now exclusive hotels and restaurants. A visit to one of these, even for a glass of wine if you cannot afford a dinner, is a must. I have never been to Tuscany, but Kambos is very close to how I imagine it will be… The road network is excellent, often providing more than one options for getting somewhere. It was not unusual to have the locals disagree between them for the best road for us whenever
