Hire a tuk-tuk for the day(s) that you are there. Tuk-tuk drivers will take you anywhere you wish to go. They will even take you back to your hotel during the day and then come back and pick you up later to take you to a restuarant or the night market. I paid $15 USD a day for my driver who was a wonderful family man that showed me so much of his city and taught me about his culture.
