An hour or more from the airport or port will cost you 60 euro one-way. A rental is going to cost that or maybe a little more per day, but you'll have a car to explore with. Driving is no prob here. But - drive the Greek way - lines on the road are more like guidelines, drive in the break down lane when being passed, and pass when people pull over into the break-down lane.
