Rooms were typically basic with low uncomfortable beds and cheap plastic furniture. Our room was overrun with mosquitoes. Every night we would use a/c and eventually get rid of the damn mossies with sprays, candles, plug ins and rolled up newspaper. Every day while we were out the cleaner left our balcony doors open (although requested not to) and we were eaten alive again for hours each night. The staff were on the whole quite friendly apart from one old dragon on the reception. Our return flight was in the middle of the night so we payed 40 euros for an extra night so we wouldn't have to wait with our bags anywhere. When we tried to get a couple of hours sleep before leaving in the evening the receptionist telephoned several times keeping us awake trying to get us to vacate the room. She even tried telling us we had only paid for a couple of hours extra and not for a full night? luckily we had a receipt. The food was acceptible but the drinks were so watered down I would defy anyone to get even slightly tipsy on these. The hotel is on a hill and a very sleep one at that, five minutes walk to the beach must have been via telephone certainly not by foot. The walk back up the hill would have been torture for any elderly people or infirm or people with young children. We got a taxi back each night for approx 7 euros. Taxis from Agia Pelagia at night is not easy to get and are far and few between, you really need a car. The village of Agia Pelagia is beautiful and so friendly. The restuarants and bistros were superb and reasonable priced. Please come to this area, but for a good and enjoyable holiday please stay somewhere else.
