Avoid the "quiet" beaches on a Sunday We made the mistake of visiting 2 beaches on a Sunday which were "quiet" and I'm sure they are during the week but on a hot Sunday they are full of locals and packed!!

Beware of time-share salesmen They not only accost you on foot, but also zoom in on you on scooters and motor bikes, usually trying to appear friendly and saying Hello, where do you come from. They are a real nuisance, and are best just ignored completely( NOT easy as they are extremely persistent) - I'm afraid we had to be really rude to some of them to get them to leave us alone!
