I totally disagree with the below comment but then again. I am much younger and am up for anything. I thought the place was clean tidy, not the best for entertainment but still..I'd recommend this place for people that want to relax and get away. The staff were friendly and you to treat them with respect for them to gain respect for you and if people don't like the food because its greek then why go to greece?

After two weeks @ this, what can "loosely" be described as a hotel, I felt compelled to submit a review, after paying nearly £2000 for my 2 week stay all inclusive. We arrived at 11.35 Sunday 14/08/2005, we asked was there anywhere to get some water, change a traveller’s cheque?? To which we were told "after breakfast" we were then "branded" with these green armbands, which meant we were all inclusive. Ok, we then proceeded to our rooms, again open to discussion, where we found a BASIC bed, toilet, shower, thin plywood doors, no do not disturb signs, 1 sheet ,1 pillow & 2 towels (as there were 3 of us), no air con, only when we went to reception to ask for it, when we were told "after breakfast"(day1). So after a few hrs @ the pool bar (the only one) we retired to bed. 7.00 am Monday, we could hear the buckets doors slamming, keys rustling, yes it was cleaning time!!! Yes first day on holiday when we should be relaxing, were woken, so we dress go to breakfast & it goes from there. Breakfast; bread, jam, salami, pork luncheon meat, Greek salad, yoghurt, & various Greek "traditional fare" some mankey sausage, HARD boiled eggs & potatoes (chips), but when your hungry you'll eat anything!!! So that passed then we met the rep, who said although Crete is an island, only 112 m long we don’t want to go anywhere, NICE, so its 2 weeks by the pool. We then went to lunch, asked for some drinks with the meal??? Only to be ignored by the staff, however if you paid you had good service!! (funny I thought we had) so after begging for some drinks we went to the pool for fun & a few drinks, only to be told we have "5 Pepsi's already" ok, but we have paid, after much deliberation, we were allowed water!!! Well thanks. Evening meal, Greek food YUM YUM!! yuk yuk, we had a staple diet of fish, lamb & pork & salad, well ok it cant get worse, it did, no air con in the restaurant as advertised, & flies, really appetising, not to mention the owner, chef, & waiters watching how much you were taking (friendly Greeks) I think not, so we suffered for a week, when we could take no more, we ate out every night the last week, it was that bad. The final straw was when we went up @ 10.55 on weds night to get a final drink, & we were told "sorry you have 7 glasses already" well that was it the air was blue, if you were half board, no problem, as we were pre-paid, we were made to feel like second class citizens!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Crete was beautiful, but this hotel just wants your euros, DONT GO THERE, go to the local tavernas where you will see the real Greece hospitality & food, & wine, this place is just a BIG RIP OFF, we are complaining to Olympic but_ ---- BE WARNED
