Lovely hotel and surrounding area
The hotel has apparently been refurbishered since last year and taken over by the Italians. It is lovely,clean and tidy. The rooms are lovely and the reception area is welcoming and clean too. We had our room cleaned daily and also clean towels. The t.v and fridge were of working order, air con worked by reception (as and when).
The staff were pleasant and polite but did not give us that personal attention due to the fact there were so many other hoilday makers there! The hotel consisted mainly of Italian tourists and the food was catered around them. The food was ok if you like spag bol and a bit repetative. After a few days we found ourselves venturing into town for something different!! The shows and activities (adult and children's) were in Italian. There was a limited amount of sun beds around the pool and if you wanted one be prepared to get up at 6am to put your towels on them! You also found if you went to lunch your brolly could disappear!!!

Filthy!!!
This hotel is sold as a 4-star. It is no more than 2-3star judging by the state of it. Grubby, old and battered, air conditioning that barely works, disgusting smells throughout the hotel, particularly through the vents and in bathroom. Food is nothing to rave about, mostly rude and unhelpful staff and a heaving man made beach that consists of oil slick topped with dirty sand. Following our complaint to the general manager we were told to 'go somewhere else, British people only make up 20% of our overall guests anyway'. I would not advise anyone to go here!

An excellent place to stay
The food was superb with a wide choice including many greek and cretan dishes. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The pools and hotel are exceptionally clean. Every hour there were different activities incl beach volley, water polo etc. There was a childrens club, and the children appear to enjoy themselves. In addition to this a show was put on every night at the amphitheatre. The resort of gouves itself was perfect for us - a few bars, restaurants, and shops but nice and quiet and the centre was around 10 mins walk from the hotel. We had a great holiday and would love to go back!

01/08 to 15/08/05, All In perfect, All staff very kind( special Thanks to Kostas Makaronas and Stelios, Georgia), Bungalows(where we were) better than the hotel rooms (after speaking with others customers), more Quiet.
