Where do I start? The resort is very well kept and presented, although our apartment 152 was showing some age with the furnishings, we were reliably informed that it is about to be refurbished.

We arrived very early and tired from Heraklion airport and this is when female receptionist started her preasure sales pitch, she was very nice until we didn't fall for the "special offer" of 1/2 board, the food wasn't really worth it for the money (200 Euros for only 5 days) to be quite honest, as soon as we rejected the offer, she became frosty and quite rude, after chatting with other guests it became apparent she had done it to them as well.

The prices for food and drink in the resort are quite high considering you can buy the same beer for example almost 1/2 the price in surrounding bars and restaurants, in some cases a 1/4 of the price, the food in these other restaurants and establishments was outstanding.

The cleaning staff and bars staff are all very courteous as are the pool staff, and reps.

The resort is very well placed for the beach (5 minute walk) and Rethymnon town about a 10 min drive, you can get just about anywhere farely quickly as the main road runs behind the resort (but not that noisy. You must try the Market in Rethymnon town on a Thursday down at the harbour.

If you were to ask me if I would go back, I think the answer would be yes I would, as I have said it is a good resort apart from food and drink prices and a minority of staff.

Stayed at the Leoniki Residence in August 2006 and what a wonderful place it is! The quality of the rooms was superb, the staff were really helpful and the site was spotlessly clean! If you are lucky enough to be stopping there you will not be disappointed!
