Eleven Taverna This family run resturant situated by the sea, close to the Astrid Hotel is fabulous. The staff are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them, the food is great and reasonably priced and great sunsets over looking the sea.

Rethymnon Food When your in Rethymnon centre and are feeling hungry, don't just settle for one of the restaurants on the front promenade, as they are very expensive and aim their prices specifically at the tourists. Try having a wonder through the back streets of the centre, there are many more smaller restaurants, which capture the feeling of Crete perfectly, much more interesting and are much cheaper! (They have beautiful grape vine roofs, absolutely fabulous!)
