We booked the Astir Beach on a last minute deal and really went there blind, with a little trepidation. We needn't have worried, it is 4 star[or equivalent] and well deserved. It is clean, airy, pleasant, well situated, the staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.The manager, Costas, is there from 0600 to about 2330, seven days a week and is always available. The rooms are a little basic but all are clean and well decorated, have a balcony with table and chairs, have ample storage for your clothes. There is also a fridge in tne room, and air conditioning. The shower and toilet were immaculate. The food was great, the only minus point was , there is no toaster,and I do like my toast at Breakfast. The beach is literally just over the road to the rear of the Hotel, and the road is only a village road that actually goes nowhere. The beach itself is sandy and offers safe bathing out to about 300 yards. All in all the only way I couldn't give it 10 out of 10, was because of the toaster, or lack of.
