Chrissi Island This boat trip is quite expensive but believe me if You want to feel in a subtropical paradise it sure feels like it. Golden beach is about the best swimming beach I know of in Europe. Clean, almost no feethurts even without sandals... hot. If You go to Ierapetra and do only one thing: this is it.

local transfers check out everyting you need to know before going. dont be afraid to explore the island there are some really nice places to go to using the local transport. eat out in the local taverns. our hotel did not exchange money but the next hotel did. if you need to use a bank you will need id.
