Awful! We were shown to our room, and there was a double bed, for three guys to share. After paying £250 each, I didn't fancy being 3's up without A/C or a fan or sharing with two other blokes. And the room stunk of smoke. The rep opened the door and then bolted straight away. We thought that was odd and then we released why, the lock on the door was broken, she had seen this and didn't want to deal with it at 02.30, well sorry love, I paid my money, so you are sorting it out. Somebody had kicked the door down and shoddily attempted to patch up a totally buggered lock. The balcony doors cannot be locked and the walls were covered in graffiti. We went down stairs, asked to talk to the manager. Out came a slightly deaf old woman, who couldn't speak a word of English and demanded a deposit. HELL NO! I was not staying another minute in that hole. Luckily the Kosmar offices were directly over the road. I told a rep how "sh!t" the Argo studios were and she moved us to a much nicer hotel "The Hermes" directly behind it. The Hermes had awesome staff, a great pool and nice rooms. The Argo, had shocking rooms, bad facilities, incompetent staff, and a swimming pool that was more like a paddling pool. The bar was extortionate and it was constantly empty. A poor excuse for a hotel. I'd be surprised if they are still operating this summer as it was truly horrible. If you're blind, have no sense of smell, and don't care about your safety, look no further, this is the place for you.
