Maria's Golden Beach All the restaurants serve the same food but the food at Maria's Golden Beach is excellent! The waiters are very helpful and friendly, plus there's greek dancing and plate-smashing throughout the evening. Oh, and everyone there is celebrating a happy honeymoon..........!

Local buses Allow extra time as the local buses do not always arrive at stated time, but this is a great way of getting around the resort without costing to much. We did get a taxi too one day and that did'nt cost a lot to a small village (one of 3 all within walking distance) not far which i would recommend as beautiful

Public Transport easy to use This is a cheap way to get around. Bus stop from Amazones about a 10 minute walk. The buses were clean and air conditioned. We paid 1.40 euro (one way) to get to Hersonissos which is the next local town (about 4km). Hersonissos has a small harbour and plenty of shops. We also went to Agios Nikoloas which was about 50 minutes on the bus. This cost 7 euros (one way). This is a must trip. Very beautiful resort with a lake in the middle. This is where some cruise liners go into
