I have to ask whether the previous reviewer actually stayed in the same hotel. We had done our research very thoroughly, checking independent reviews in a number of languages and the hotel more than met our expectations. Great location directly on beach and with huge choice of bars, clubs and restaurants in immediate vicinity. At same time hotel complex always felt quiet and relaxed. Rooms exactly as in pictures-not luxurious, but our room was very comfortable for three with plenty of room for luggage, and huge terrace. Recently decorated with nice stone and marble worksurfaces. Aircon very effective and in bungalow rooms unlimited use. Room and entire complex very clean. Restaurant, thankfully, a nouvelle cuisine free zone. Excellent choice, always beautifully prepared. Memorable Cretan evening with superb buffet and great music and dancing. Service and front desk outstanding. Main building tastefully decorated and furnished, complex very well maintained and particularly attractive with exquisite pool and gardens. Cost of half-board accommodation very low, so even with daily sunbed charge excellent value for money.

Overall, we would not hesitate in recommending the Adele Mare and are already talking about a return visit. We loved it.
